Siemens SOMATOM go.TOP
CT Scanner
Bringing Advanced 128 Slice CT Scanning to Kalgoorlie-Boulder
We are excited to unveil the SIEMENS SOMATOM go.Top, equipped to offer a wide range of CT procedures along with specialised lung and cardiac imaging packages. For the first time patients can access CT Coronary Angiograms or Coronary Calcium Scoring locally, avoiding the need and expense of travelling to Perth. This state-of-the-art 128 slice CT scanner represents the latest generation in diagnostic imaging, offering faster scan times, exceptional image clarity, and ultra-low radiation doses. It supports comprehensive assessments of organs, bones, blood vessels, and tissues, enhancing the detection of cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, and oncological conditions with advanced AI-driven tools.

Green Credentials
We are working towards making our SOMATOM go.Top Australia’s first fixed 'Green CT.' It is currently powered entirely by batteries, recharged through an environmentally friendly off-peak supply, with plans for solar energy integration underway. Sustainability was a key factor in selecting this system—its materials are 99% recyclable, with the remaining 1% used for thermal energy recovery, positioning it as one of the most eco-conscious imaging solutions available.
Indigenous Artwork
Carol Thompson
In line with our commitment to cultural inclusivity, the CT system also serves as a canvas for renowned local Indigenous artist Carol Thompson. Her contemporary handcrafted designs are directly painted onto the scanner. Her work has already transformed our Bone Mineral Densitometry scanner, creating a calming, culturally enriched environment that fosters health, well-being, and connection. We eagerly anticipate the unique transformation she will bring to our CT scanner.
